4 – Chausie
The Chausie is a hybrid breed, resulting from the crossing between the Absinian cat and wild cats from Central Asia, and looks very similar to the felines of ancient Egypt, since it has wide ears and an elongated muzzle. The average weight for an adult male is between 4.5 to 7 kg.
Its fur has a varied color, however, it is the only domestic breed that has a black gray color pattern, as a result of its wild ancestors. It is an agile cat, and due to its body structure, it is capable of jumping up to 6 meters high. In addition, they are very active and sociable, so they need owners who are attentive.
A peculiarity of these cats is their diet, as the Chausie requires a special diet, which basically consists of meat. Although not a widespread condition, many cats of this breed are unable to digest plant-based foods, as this can result in chronic malnutrition. Therefore, it is necessary to be careful when buying your food, as it must be gluten-free.
