Did you know that cats were worshiped as gods in Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia? Well, between the 15th and 16th centuries it was believed that cats that stayed in temples accompanied the souls of priests to paradise when they died. That was the Burmese cat, a docile and sensitive feline that emerged in Burma centuries ago.<\/p>\n<\/div>

By the way, it was only in 1919 that priests of one of the country's temples presented two Frenchmen with a couple of Burmese cats.
