Sales Representative
Drive new business, manage key clients, and develop your pipeline at DSV. If you have logistics sales experience and ambition, this full time role is your next career step.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
As a Sales Representative at DSV, your focus will be signing new business, managing client portfolios, and ensuring strong financial outcomes. Your core routine involves prospecting, closing deals, and maintaining high standards of client data management. Daily reporting to your sales manager and working on proposals will keep you in rhythm. Administrative work, CRM updates, and inter-departmental communication will round out your week.
The role is full-time and requires 1-2 years’ experience in new business sales, especially in transport or logistics. You should be comfortable navigating the MS Office Suite and be confident in both tender management and sales reporting. A big part of your week will be building client relationships and ensuring ongoing growth through a robust sales pipeline.
From preparing and delivering tenders to competitor analysis and business opportunities, you will have a clear path to make an impact. You’ll also be expected to mentor junior sales execs and ensure all internal processes are accurately followed. The company expects efficiency, innovation, and diligence in every task you take on.
Pros of This Position
One of the biggest attractions is the ability to grow your career within a global leader in logistics. DSV offers a clear path for ambitious professionals to build their profile. The diverse work environment, mentorship opportunities, and transparent management structure add a strong plus to your professional journey. DSV’s support structure helps develop skills and offers exposure to world-class supply chain operations, enhancing your value in the job market.
Cons To Consider
The role does come with a fair amount of pressure to hit monthly and annual targets which may be a challenge for newcomers or those not used to a performance-based culture. Additionally, the need for administration and frequent reporting can sometimes detract from time spent with clients or prospecting for new business.
If you’re not experienced in the transport and logistics sector or dislike sales targets, this role may feel demanding. However, with adequate preparation, these hurdles are manageable and often offset by supportive colleagues and clear guidelines.
Verdict
For candidates seeking to elevate their career in logistics sales and who value growth, mentorship, and challenge, this is a worthy next step. DSV’s focus on employee development and a positive team atmosphere makes the Sales Representative role a strong offering for those aiming to shape their future in global logistics.
